|Dauntless Pink Moto Jacket from Petit Vour|
Happy Friday! It's Fashion Friday, as they like to do on TV.
My style is ever-evolving with age. When I was younger (like, last year), I was caught up in luxury brands, as I was interested in the link to great design throughout history. As I get older and, I suppose, have sort of proven myself style-wise (I've ticked the boxes of Chanel, Goyard, Louis Vuitton, Oscar de la Renta, Caroline Herrera, Hermès, and Alexander McQueen) I'm not as interested in that anymore. Frankly, I'd rather save my money.
That does not mean I can totally embrace fast fashion since I'm old and love quality and design. The exceptions, of course, are Zara blouses for work (contrary to popular belief established by one Tammy Faye Bakker, Christian television does not have a robust wardrobe budget - it's strictly BYO Blouse.)
When I was younger, I had no qualms with wearing leather or fur even though I dipped in and out of vegan eating. To be fair, if you tried wearing faux leather pants in the winter in Canada in the 1980s, you'll know how stiff that fabric got outside. I'm talking cracking, my friends. And the faux fur - ugh - stiff, nasty, horrible. I had a faux leather and fur coat in elementary school in 1980s Calgary and - people - I know of what I speak. We all just wanted to grow up, become Alexis Colby, and wear fur.
But these days, we know better and the vegan leathers are amazing. So good. I wear vegan leather pants all the time. They are matte and not at all stiff and look good on TV, which is saying something because I almost always get the seat at the end of the See Hear Love table, where the world can see my outer thigh!
I have a cheapy vegan moto jacket but the detail is not where I'd like it to be, so I've been keeping my eyes open for pretty, well-made ones for spring.
My search led me to the pink jacket shown above from Petit Vour, which is heaven in an online shop. It's cruelty-free makeup, skincare, home goods, and apparel, all of which has been carefully curated. It's pretty. I'm seriously in love. I've note ordered anything yet except the Cruelty-Free subscription box, but oh, I love the selection!
I could happily buy this quilted moto jacket:
or this Amanda Uprichard top:
or these (because one can never have too many pairs of vegan leather leggings!)
Are you interested embracing vegan fashion? Have you been embracing it all along?
